NEW Lidia Voltor's RECIPE Hvorost (ricotta cheese donuts) 1. In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, sugar, baking powder, ricotta cheese and egg. Mix with hands until soft. 2. Spread flour on a surface. Spread dough atop flour. Roll out the dough to 1 cm thickness. Cut into certain slopes ( square, rectangle, etc) 3. Heat canola oil in a tall frying pan or saucepan. If the oil has reached the desired temperature, bubbles will appear on a wooden spoon dropped into it. Reduce heat (middle level). 4. Place donuts in portions in oil and fry on both sides.
