Golden milk is a soothing, nourishing drink that wraps you in warmth while offering gentle wellness benefits. Turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon bring natural anti‑inflammatory and antioxidant support, while warm milk and honey create a calming, comforting sip ideal for winding down at any time of day.
Ingredients:
| • milk | 1 cup |
| • Black pepper | a pinch |
| • cinnamon | 1/4 teaspoon |
| • turmeric | 1 teaspoon |
| • ginger (freshly grated or ground) | 1/4 teaspoon |
| • clove | 1 |
| • honey or maple syrup | to taste |
| • coconut oil or ghee | 1/2 teaspoon (optional) |
1. Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Do not boil.
2. Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, clove and a pinch of black pepper.
3. Whisk until the spices dissolve and the milk turns a deep golden color.
4. Gently heat the milk with the spices for 5 minutes — don’t boil, just warm.
5. Stir in a coconut oil or ghee if using.
6. Stir in the honey once it’s poured into the mug. Enjoy warm.
SERVING IDEAS:
- Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for aroma.
- Add a star anise for a pretty finish.
- Serve with a small cookie or a slice of banana bread for a cozy evening treat.
